Thank you all for your help. Should not the drive appear in boot BIOS as an IDE Device? There is a note in my mobo manual that I should "ensure to install the AHCI driver", I did not ensure that I did this as I am not 100% sure No need to open your case and unbolt a HDD then bol.

They should make it with a connection that is less wide to make room for the sata power connection. My further reading shows lots of controversy regarding esata connectors and cable length.I have feeling my problem is the Sabrent enclosure.
