DVI-I (what is on the cards) includes DVI-D (digital) and DVI-A (analog). Does it display on a DVI monitor? HDMI vs. It will not work in a proper DVI-D port (or an improper one with a DVI-I socket).
If it is a DVI-I input, you could certainly try it but my money is on it not working. Does your PSU have atleast 30a on the +12v rail(if you are not sure post the make and model of the PSU and we can look it up)? Dvi Vga No Signal Monitor Going Sleep no luck. Another possibility, if you have not wiped Windows and re-installed, is that the presets for the output are not compatible with your monitor. Additionally, analog VGA signals are susceptible to a loss of quality based on what their cables are made of and how well they are put together. i just had to go into the internal monitor settings and switch it to digital. But if I put in an old VGA card and use the VGA cable with the same monitor, it gives a display.
Working... I thought i was going to use my 15 inch as my primary and my 20 inch as my secondary using a dvi-d cable. no need to buy an expensive digital-analog converter, just get a cheap-o dvi-d cable. DVI-I (what is on the cards) includes DVI-D (digital) and DVI-A (analog).
