If the movie is a newer Blu-ray title and other Blu-ray movies play, then the Blu-Ray compatible software might need to be updated.

There are separate sound controls for the hardware devices (speakers / head sets) and the individual applications (Windows sound / QuickPlay / Windows Media Player). Data on discs can degrade over time. BAM!!! .... I have upgraded to the max amount of memory (2 GB).
