  • A workaround could be to figure out which OS this scanner could be used with, and install a virtual machine to scan through.

  • I have not found a way to use the current versions of Canon's MP Navigator to work with the LIDE 90.
  • Have you tried scanning from Preview or ImageCapture, if the device shows up in those apps?

Install notes: Did NOT work when using Pacifist to install the TWAINbridge app. I have tried installing the latest driver from canon -- for 10.9 OS (they do not have drivers for 10.10 Yosemite). If that either doesn't work or doesn't provide the functionality you require give VueScan a look. Epson Scan App So Apple do seem to have tripped up badly with Mountain Lion.

However, if I used System Preferences and then the Print and Scan option, it brought up a small window where I could select either Print or Scan. the download worked and allowed my canoscan 8400 F to work with image capture and be scanned in JPEG format.

So if you installed Mountain Lion, tough nuggies. Just make sure you download the correct version of Epson Scan from the Epson website. No "scan negatives". I've tried the Epson driver/software no luck, I try Image capture no luck I even downloaded a demo of VueScan no luck.
